John Finley Walk at Carl Schurz Park

Sunday, September 10, 2023 at 12:00 NOON

 CARL SCHURZ PARK ENTRANCE, 86TH & EAST END AVENUE—WHEELCHAIR ACCESS 84th & 87th STREETS

A community commemorative event showcasing music, poetry and reflections on September 11th.  The Ceremony continues a tradition from the first years after 9/11 that drew together people from across the community and city.

All Community Members are Invited – FREE

PROGRAM begins 12:00 NOON Sharp at John Finley Walk, top of stairs in Carl Schurz Park.

Musical Opening.  Colors presented by Commandant David Menegon (Colonel, US Army-Ret.) and the Knickerbocker Greys. National Anthem;  Introductory Comments.  Reflections by Elected Officials and Community Leaders. Experiences by First Responders; Emergency Workers and Audience attendees.  Closing words with Musical Interlude.  Program ends
